Very often, great men and women aren’t honoured during their lifetime. So when Columbus Business Solutions known popularly as Flow Jamaica decided to throw a fabulous shindig to honour the accomplishments of a renowned international personality on August 23 at the Rose Hall Great House, Montego Bay it was well deserving of recognition.
The birthday girl- looking great at 50 is question was none other than Vivica A. Fox, one of Hollywood’s fiercest actresses with a repertoire that is as wide as it is deep. From the comedic styling of ‘Booty Call’ to the nail biting drama of ‘Kill Bill’, she has made blockbuster films that have raked in millions at the box office.
Being proud of her own achievements in ‘Tinsel Town’ she says, “ Well I just wanna keep celebrating life and know that I’m a blessed child of God and someone that opens doors for other black actresses coming up and just be a friend to someone in need.”
The key to her longevity she said is pretty simple: “I’m a chameleon. I can act, produce, do drama, musical or
comedy. You name it, I can knock it out of the park. I’m versatile so I’m not stuck in any one box. You can’t tick one box and say that’s Vivica because then I will just have to remind you who exactly I am.”
Just wrapping up ‘Sharknado2’ Mercenaries and Carter High she still keeps current on the sitcom ‘Mr. Box Office playing the sexy cougar teacher. “I’m about to start filming the very sexy ‘Chocolate City’ playing Michal Jai White’s wife.” And The Vivica Fox Hair collection is doing fabulous.”
With The Vivica Fox Hair Collection still doing great she is thankful for all her successes and has never felt outdated despite the ever increasing crop of young actresses, “Audiences will always love me. I’m relatable. I give hugs and kisses and never disrespect people. I never say no to a fan because I know when the cameras are off I’m just like them.”
Emphasizing FLOW as a wholesome lifestyle brand, Grant Hume, Vice President of Columbus Business Solutions shared that Jamaica is definitely the cultural capital of the Caribbean and “the business community is making a difference in the development of this country.
The logistic hub should be a good for Jamaica and its development and I want to be a part of all of it. I’m so excited about being here and being present in the moment.” Flow will continue to bring quality service and take to Jamaica an exchange of international culture as they celebrate the best of Blockbuster talents such as Vivica Fox.
Happy Birthday Vivica and we will forever be floored by your wonderful talent.
