Dancehall Artist, Ding Dong, is known for his vibrant and exhilarating dance moves and music. His latest release “Bounce” has been making the rounds on social media as the summer’s go-to dance move with fans, influencers and entertainers alike posting their own renditions of the summer hit.
Buzzz Magazine recently had the opportunity to chat with the artist who expressed that he felt blessed to see the success the song and dance were having. Having recorded the hit in January 2020, he shared that he felt confident in the impact the song would have, but held off on releasing it due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. It was the same feeling of confidence he had when he released other dances/music such as “Fling”, “Holiday”, and “Badman Forward”. He also indicated that he would be releasing a behind the scenes “making the video” for Bounce, that would also showcase his confidence in the new material.
Ding Dong has continued to amass recognition and popularity as a Dancehall artist over the years ever since the release of “Badman Forward” which he identifies as the piece of artistry that put him on the map. Though he is currently at a privileged stage in his career, he shares that he is not yet where he wants to be and continues to work hard and aim higher every day. His goal is to reach the world stage and to create timeless music that outlives him, similar to the impact of Jamaican Reggae icon Bob Marley. He describes himself as a workaholic who is inspired by life itself and living in the present. While music is his first love and passion, the artist also believes in exploring multiple options and has a keen interest for pivoting into business; working on his DNDG clothing line which he owns with his wife who he credits as the mastermind behind it all. He also expresses that in time he hopes to venture into other avenues of business.
