Oscar Pistorius Defence asks for community service

oscar-pistorius-trial

The defence team of Oscar Pisotorius has argued that the disabled track star, Oscar Pistorius should not face jail time for the murder of his then girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

A probation officer recommended that the track star who was found guilty of culpable homicide of Ms Steenkamp, should instead face a mix of house arrest and community service for a few years instead of the maximum sentence of 15 years in jail.

The recommendation caused an obvious uproar by the family of the decease as well as from the prosecution in such a lenient request to be imposed.

Stay tuned for more updates on the Pistorius case.
