Dancehall star Shenseea etched her name deeper into global music history on Thursday night, August 28, 2025, as she walked away with the Artiste of the Year award at the prestigious Caribbean Music Awards 2025 in New York.
She took the top spot in a star-studded category featuring dancehall heavyweights like Spice, Jada Kingdom, Shaniel Muir, Vanessa Bling, Steflon Don, and Stalk Ashley.
The “Jiggle Jiggle” boss was visibly stunned when her name was announced, so much so that she admitted forgetting the acceptance speech she had carefully prepared. She was overwhelmed by the win and caught up in the excitement of the love she received.
Instead, Shenseea later turned to her official Instagram Stories to pour out her gratitude. In a heartfelt message, she gave thanks to God, her loyal fans, and everyone who has supported her career and projects over the years.
“I couldn’t find the words on stage, but from my heart, I just want to thank God and every single one of you who has been rocking with me. This means the world,” she shared with her fans.
This milestone comes at a high point in her career. Just weeks ago, Shenseea lit up the global stage with her collaboration alongside the legendary Mariah Carey on the track “Sugar Sweet”, a cross-genre anthem that has been making waves internationally.
