Speaking with Buzzz Magazine, Walter Elmore who produces the festival annually, shares that all are “extremely excited to welcome Mariah Carey to Jamaican shores. She appeals to different age groups, much like Celine Dion and has been doing her research on Jamaica to ensure that she delivers what the people want”. This performance, which marks Carey’s Caribbean debut, is significant for the organizers, especially since they are the only ones in the Western Hemisphere to present Mariah Carey since her last tour in 2006.

She is the Best Selling Female Artist of All Time, logging more than 200 million records sold and 18 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 Singles, more than any solo artiste in history. With her distinctive five-octave vocal range and prolific songwriting and producing talent, Carey has defined the modern multi-format performer. She has received multiple GRAMMY® Awards, 21 American Music Awards, Billboard’s Artist of the Decade Award, the World Music Award 2014 Pop Icon andArtist with Most No. 1 Singles in America Awards, among other notable accomplishments.
Her set list for Jamaica is expected to be an exciting mix of her biggest fan-favorite pop and dance hits, R&B ballads, and hip-hop jams, along with popular selections from her critically acclaimed CD, Me. I am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse.

MeanwhileNasri Tony Atweh, who is lead singer of the Canadian Reggae fusion band, MAGIC!shares that the group’s music “is meant to put you in a good mood.
