Glass House

We all know the Christian devotional book “Daily Bread” that has been around for decades. Well writer Mary A. M. Glass HouseWhite has formulated her own devotional booklet to produce more of a rendition she titled, Glass Houses. Akin to a journal or diary, Glass Houses can be viewed as a literary conversation with oneself.
Chock full of short stories on a myriad of topics ranging from disappointment, pain, grief and even purpose, it is very interesting as the book actually has designated space to write down one’s thoughts which you can review at the end of the week or whenever you need to gauge your growth over time.
It is a perfectly easy method of tracking your spiritual journey over an extended epoch, especially if some significant changes are occurring in your life. The allocated ‘Scripture of the Week’ speaks to what thematically is on the reader’s mind or heart which is beneficial in keeping abreast challenges and issues, whether new or recurring.
The book also highlights how Mary dealt with the spiritual transition in her thought process, recognising that there is purpose in the bad times in our lives; that negative situations can teach us valuable life lessons and how one can move from victim to victor, thus Glass Houses can facilitate your own daily growth as it also advocates for the transforming power of love that leads to forgiveness and acceptance.
