He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Georgia as well as a Master’s degree in Management of Information Systems from George Mason University in Washington D.C under his belt. His love for the Caribbean and his vision for major growth in the region was what inspired this venture. “When I looked at the Caribbean, we were just like way behind, just terrible. And I’m like, I could do something. So the whole purpose of WiPay is to bring our people up to the standards of service that first world countries, America, China, Japan experience.”
WiPay will launch in Jamaica on June 27th, 2019, but will go live in July of the same year; with outlets to be placed island wide. The ultimate goal for Wayne and the future of WiPay beyond Jamaica is to eventually connect all the islands and create one regional network.
