“My life and ambition is to be proactive”; says musician, entrepreneur and humanitarian Ryan Smith. Whether operating his Caribbean American Luxury Brand, Island Niche; ghost writing and producing records, designing or his philanthropic efforts in his community, Ryan keeps himself busy creating luxury and art. That proactiveness has now evolved into a new stage of musical endeavours.
His musical journey has taken him on several avenues and has led him to this stage of his career. From his early years in the Seven Day Adventist Church, being mesmerized by “Brother Surgeon’s” playing of the drums, to singing and playing bass as a teenager in a family band; working as a DJ, radio personality and TV host, music and the arts has always been a part of everything this mogul in the making does. A man of many talents; he boasts a strong collection of gifts which he has nurtured into meaningful and impactful blessings. A writer, producer, trumpet and bass player, drummer, philanthropist, entrepreneur and rising artist; there is no stopping Ryan Smith as he shares his gift with the world.
Known to fans as “Ryan Dangerous”, he offers a musical fusion of popular music with a unique Jamaican flair that is uplifting. “I am just a medium transferring energy” the artiste shared, recognizing that anyone with an audience has the ability to influence. “I try my best to promote positive energy and growth; we all have our part to play and should all step up to be productive world citizens.” The Jamaican, who was born in Kingston and raised in Pembroke Hall and Portland, later migrated to the United States to reside in Miami; an area he recalls
provided a musical experience that became a stew of flavours to his ears. It was this immersion in the diversity of Miami music that allows him as an artiste to add flair to any record, sharing that “My sound is what my voice can contribute to any music; I add a twist of yaad vibes on any given song while I’m singing.” Ryan Dangerous who is managed by Suzie Q’s Golden Vision Production LLC has been making waves with his music. The artiste currently has two singles out “Tattoo Scars” released in March 2021, complimented by
an animated video and a more recently released single “Baby Run Come”. On the horizon is his highly anticipated album, which he hopes to finish soon and announce to the world. Till then, with the full support of his family and friends, Island Niche LLC and Blewman Production, he is recording songs that he insists while define Ryan Dangerous as an artiste. He gushed over one particular single which he describes will become a signature anthem across the world, propelling Jamaica to the fore in music once more; “I am super excited about one song.
