The skin is the largest organ in the body and absorbs almost everything you put on it, which means maintaining healthy skin is of paramount importance.
We often struggle with an array of conditions like eczema, acne, dark spots, and several skin irritants. Though we try to control these conditions, oftentimes, we tend to use cleaners that end up stripping the skin of its natural oils. These substances alkalinize the Ph level, leaving it unprotected and exposed to many chemicals, causing premature aging. That dry and tight “clean” feeling we feel at the end of cleansing is not healthy. Make sure you recognize the ingredients in your skincare products as natural or learn what they are before applying.
Our skin should be given the utmost care and attention using non-toxic, natural, organic products, these are the healthiest and most nurturing. Here are six ways you could create your cleansers at home and remember always to pat dry as rubbing can be irritable.
For Brighter Skin
Pour 1/4 cup coconut milk in a small bowl, then add four slices of tomato. Once the tomato has absorbed the liquid, rub the slices in a circular motion all over your face, leave for 30 minutes then rinse with tap water. Tomatoes contain fruit acid that helps to brighten skin, and coconut milk is very beneficial for a healthy glow.
Treat Oily Skin
Pour two tablespoons of raw honey and 1/2 teaspoon of wild turmeric in a small bowl and mix thoroughly. Apply a thin layer on clean face, and let it sit for 10-15 minutes and rinse with tap water. These ingredients contain antibacterial and antiseptic properties that may benefit oily and acne-prone skin.
