The holidays are here again and it’s time to spruce up the home with merry décor. Festive décor sets the stage for family and friends and gives you that warm and happy feeling. With all of us feeling the pinch this year, Buzzz Magazine wanted to look at some ways in which our Christmas décor can be unique, refreshing and breathtaking, but budget friendly. Give your home a classy and elegant look this Christmas with these inexpensive ideas.
Get creative with evergreens
Evergreens need not only be of the conifer variety. We live in a tropical country giving us easy access to ferns, palms and other tropical foliage that can be inexpensively used to create an elegant décor. Try framing your foliage around a mirror or console table. Use them to line a staircase banister. You
can even add a few ornaments to add extra sparkle or add anthurium
Make an entrance
Style your front door by wrapping with red, silver or gold ribbon to form a bow. Gift wrapping your door is sure to be a show stopper. It sets the tone and welcomes your guests into your holiday home.
Upcycle mason jars or jam jars and use as votive holders
Jazz these used containers with a touch of glitter and paint; fill with colored sand and place your candle inside. Tie a ribbon or some twine around the rim and voila, you have a special home-made tabletop dressing.
Repurpose pallet planks
Pallet planks are aplenty this season and are generally considered waste. Let’s go green and reuse them to make cheerful holiday signs. All that’s needed is a little paint and creativity.
