Pre-packaged tea bags make it so easy to enjoy a cup of your favourite brew. Whatever your choice- green, black, peppermint or herbal tea- drinking a few cups daily provides man many health benefits.

But before you throw out that next used tea bag, here are some other ways you can use it.

1. Hair Booster – I’m certain you can recall that commercial on television showing the lady with a head rich with beautiful hair that just made you go to purchase that exact product, only to realise it’s a budget buster! Well, the ability to get your hair looking like what you saw in that commercial has been in your teacup all along. Yes, it is your tea bag! Whether black or green tea, it has ingredients that can prevent shedding. Just boil and leave it overnight and put it to cool. After you have shampooed and conditioned your hair, pour tea bag solution on your hair and let it dry.

2. Eye Bag Reliever – After a long day at work, with your eyes focused on the computer screen, your eyes must be tired. You can relax your eyes when you brew your favourite tea. Just rinse the bag, squeeze out excessive water, then place the warm bag over your eyes. How is that for spa treatment?

3. Hand Deodoriser -After making a delicious meal, being creative and employing various spices and special herbs, the scent of these ingredients may linger on your hands, even after you have washed them. Try this: Rub your hands with the leaves from the brewed tea bag in a circular motion and get rid of that stubborn scent.

4. Home-made Spa – After a long day at work, why not do something nice to treat yourself? Think of a soothing aroma, especially a homemade herbal aroma. Your senses are spot-on because those small tea bags in your cupboard can check your senses in your very own VIP Spa.

Here is how it works:

Place at least five tea bags into a bath of hot or warm water. Not only will your muscles be massaged into rest, but your skin will thank you.
