Cradled in a lush tropical cove that in part bears resemblance to a natural lagoon, this hotel is far from your typical accommodations and at first glance all you want to do is take a deep breath and immerse yourself in luxury.
Since the best way to explain lavishness is to experience it, the BUZZZ Magazine team spent a weekend at the resort located in the marine park adjacent to their sister property, Secrets Resorts. To say that we had a scintillating time would be an understatement as we came for the recreation and stayed for the rejuvenation. Stepping in Breathless is akin to stepping into opulence. From the moment the door opens, your stay has added meaning as this expansive property is all about living in the moment while making memories for a lifetime. The lobby is not your typical desk and chair – no, this resort does everything in style. Instead of regular chairs, there is a suite of huge indoor cabana beds on one side and a bar with almost very conceivable top shelf liquor on the other. How you like them apples?
Further outdoor is a huge fire feature that exudes pride and is surrounded by flowing water. Yes, you heard me right. Then, a little way off stands a towering massive white sound wall that is definitely a conversation starter. This imposing structure smack dead in the middle of the property has a twofold job as it keeps music from being a disturbance, as well as provides a beautiful backdrop for pictures as it is covered in multi coloured faux manicured grass. How awesome is that? The word ‘budget’ does not exist in ‘Breathless’ operations manual as everything is over the top, larger than life, posh and dripping with extravagance, all while being tastelessly done.
