Cancer Killing Stem Cells Developed

laboratory-scientist-testing

Scientists from Harvard along with Massachusetts General Hospital have successfully developed cancer killing stem cells that were able to secrete lethal toxins that target cells that cause brain tumours, without harming itself or other healthy cells.

The test have so far only been tested within mice and on laboratory cancer cells, the next hurdle for the scientists will be in human trials.

It is hoped that these cancer-killing stem cells will be available for clinical trials within five years.
