kid-bed-room

So the stork will be visiting in a few months, and you are clueless about the décor of your baby’s room.

Your questions are mounting, and the choices are overwhelming. Here’s the thing, it’s bad enough that you’ve gained weight…, more weight than you would have liked, your sexy ankles now look like swollen sausages, and your mood swings are likened to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

You are experiencing the real deal pregnancy, not the romanticised version that we see in the movies. Speaking about the idealised version of things, how about those well-appointed nurseries. There is nothing on the planet that creates that warm and fuzzy feeling more intensely than a baby’s nursery.

Ahhh the dream…., so, back to reality…!… Your reality, which is getting the nursery done… the questions are mounting.

What type of crib? Bedding? What to do for lighting, walls, window treatment? Then there is the changing table and to confuse matters, there’s the continuous debate over a cradle vs a bassinet, a glider vs rocking chair or comfortable chair. Not to mention the fact that everything is sooooo cute and screams, BUY ME and take me home, even though you are only going to use me for one month!!! Did I mention the walls!!!

Here’s the secret, decorating a nursery is all about you! Baby couldn’t care less. The trick is to decorate smart so when baby starts to develop likes and dislikes; it’s easy to update…

Let’s start at the beginning, shall we…
