Fashionable while Expecting

Fashionable while Expecting

Being pregnant is one of the best things a woman could ever experience. As you watch your body go through changes, you will be happy to know that you can still keep up with the trends and be fashionable. The key to being fashionable while pregnant is to find trends that you like and making them work for your new body. Pregnancy is not a death sentence and should not be treated as such; it is the time to celebrate new life and the joys of being a woman. Keep reading as we share tips on how to be fashionable when expecting.

Be Colorful: We are not talking about that floral house dress that our grandmothers have. In this case, opt for vibrant colors to show off your bump and uplift your mood as opposed to going for neutral colors and black. There is a scientific link between feeling happier and more productive when you wear bright colors. For the working mamas, add tailored baby doll tops with a bit of color to get you through those 8-hour days.

Bare it all… Subtly: Every body is different; however one of the best things that pregnancy offers is extra boobies. This will be the time to wear those low cut tops and dresses you’ve had in the back of the closet hoping to wear if you were suddenly more blessed in the chest area. Take full advantage to flaunt the cleavage (subtly) in those deep V-necks and sweetheart necklines. This is also a great time to break out that low neckline little black dress you saved for special occasions and go out in style.

Make a Statement: Add some oomph to your pregnancy wardrobe with ruffles, florals and various patterns. If you are not too keen on bold colorful pieces, this is a great way to add a few fun pieces to your wardrobe you would probably be sceptic to wear pre-pregnancy. Be sure to purchase pieces you know you will wear for sure even after your pregnancy. Maxi-dresses are also a great option especially with summer approaching. Opt for one that has a cold shoulder with a light airy fabric.

Go Skinny: Skinny Jeans are as classic as the little black dress (which is also great for pregnancy). There are a few brands that carry maternity skinny jeans that can even be worn post pregnancy. If you enjoyed wearing skinny jeans before you were pregnant, why give that up just because you have a growing bell

Leggings are your new Best Friend: Leggings never go out of style and can be paired with just about everything. Leggings should be a staple item in your pregnancy wardrobe as they are extremely affordable and comfortable. A simple pair of leggings can be dressed up and down and might be your go-to outfit of choice as it can easily be put on and taken off with ease.

Having a baby is one of the most amazing experiences you could ever have, so flaunt it with style and grace.
