Are you ready to finally start an exercise programme that you can actually stick to for life? An exercise programme that is fun and a nutritional plan where you can actually enjoy the foods you eat? Well, not only is it here, but I’m eager to tell you all about it, what I call my“9 Ways toward a Healthier Lifestyle”!
1. GET YOUR MIND IN A HEALTHY PLACE. You have to realize that eating right and exercising regularly is now going to be a part of your regular routine, much like getting up in the mornings and taking a shower, or brushing your teeth. Exercise and eating right has to now become second nature. Just think if you went a day without taking a shower or brushing your teeth! You have to get yourself to that place with your new exercise regime.
2. GIVE YOUR BODY A CHECK- UP, consult your physician so you’ll know what your limitations are and be sure to seek a fitness professional, so that they can recommend and demonstrate safe and effective exercises.
3. SET GOALS; know what it is that you want to achieve, so that if it is to lose weight, you’ll go about setting short term goals that are realistic and attainable.
FIND EXERCISES THAT YOU ENJOY, that way you will be consistent in your efforts. If you like to dance, go dancing and workup a sweat, if you like swimming, put it in your schedule. Remember, not everyone has to go to a gym to see results.
- DRESS FOR SUCCESS. Ensure that you are wearing proper, breathable exercise clothes and the right footwear. Ladies, a good sports bra is key and gentlemen nothing too tight below the belt please!
- EXERCISE WITH A FRIEND. Exercising with someone else always makes it easier and more fun. You can set goals together and keep each other on track, indeed; a little friendly competition will always keep you motivated.
