Thousands come out in opposition in Hungary’s capital city, Budapest against a proposed internet tax to charge users USD$0.60 per gigabyte of data traffic.
Supporters came out in support against the tax by throwing old computer parts against the at the gates of the ruling Fidesz party and by holding up their mobile phones in the air at the economy ministry.
The ruling Government hopes to appease demonstrators by adding a cap of around USD$2.90, to the proposed bill. We will just have to wait and see if that will cause further protests or satisfy the demonstrators who consider the tax anti-democratic.
