Jamaica’s Minister of Health, Dr Fenton Ferguson is to travel to Cuba to seek assistance in the handling of possible Ebola cases from Cuba, one of the countries that are leading in the fight against Ebola in West Africa.
Cuba has so far sent over 100 doctors and nurses to Western Africa and they plan to send approximately 500 healthcare workers to Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.
The Jamaican Minister wants to finalise discussions in training Jamaican healthcare workers in Ebola monitoring and response preparedness.
