When I got wind that my favourite local author and the national best seller K. Sean Harris had penned another novel, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it and once again he didn’t disappoint.
With ‘Redemption’ he has another bonafide hit on his hands as this sequel to the smoking hot ‘Detour’ will have readers salivating as they anticipate possible twists and turns, but Harris always has a card up his sleeve that will not only leave readers guessing but also suitably speechless.
Following on from ‘Detour’, his latest work picks up with Gabriel, the hollow assassin, still mourning the loss of his love, Miko, who was brutally murdered. Trying to numb the pain he jets off with Isabel, the wealthy and beautiful socialite who has more money than the Government and more wiles than is good for her. In the process of spending so much time alone with Gabriel, Isabel is smitten and doesn’t want to lose him. In her desperation to own him, she makes a deal with the devil that backfires and only Gabriel is able to help her find a possible solution.
Ultimately Gabriel comes out of mourning and resumes his work, pulling off the job of all jobs to the envy of one of his fellow assassins – and Maxim, whose jealously leads him to make the most costly error in his life, confesses to Gabriel the one mystery that has haunted the latter for the past two years.
Silent and deadly, Gabriel methodically
A definite page turner, ‘Redemption’ will keep you up all night reading – as it did me, because every K. Sean Harris novel is designed to be read non-stopfrom cover to cover.
