One gun man has so far been fatally wounded in the shooting of the Canadian Parliament and it is not yet clear how many other accomplices he may have had. Up to midday today shots continue to ring out from the Parliament building.
The shootings started when one gunman started firing shots at Canada’s National War Memorial before running into the Parliament building and further shots were heard in a nearby shopping mall.
Tony Clement a Canadian MP has been keeping the public informed on the state of the Members of Parliament with his tweeting while they remain in lock down in the building, with one of his latest tweets saying:
Thanks everyone for your support & prayers during lockdown. The shots still are ringing in my ears, but we will persevere…
