Our journey is determined by the set of choices we make every day. Will those choices take us down the path of righteousness or will they lead us down the road to damnation? This was the question for the film’s lead character Dennis or D, as he was so widely known.
The film follows D’s journey through life, first as a young lad living in Kingston during a period where gangster warfare was rampant and ultimately led to the murder of his older brother DJ Jerry Dread during what was intended to be a peace gathering. Having lost his only relative, he is taken in by the well-known gangster (Don) and music producer King Fox. Under his wings, he is exposed to the gangster lifestyle and eventually got involved in a melee which threatened King Fox’s drug business. D is abruptly sent off to London, but with a special mission. While in London, things don’t go exactly as planned as D finds himself the centre of a potential war. He does, however, reconnect with his childhood sweetheart Yvonne and daughter Vanessa who he has not seen since she was a baby. He aligns himself with a sound clash crew called High Noon and comes face to face with the person who murdered his brother. The ensuing events escalate in a bloody quest for retribution and the revelation of an unexpected truth.
