Acoustica Levy

acousticalevy

Barrington Levy has over his very short career, which started at age fourteen sang on some of the most popular rhythms and possess one of the most outstanding and recognisable voices in the music business.

In AcousticaLEVY, the distinctive Barry removes all the musical decoration and has allowed his fans to examine the core of his soulfully melodious voice, and powerful lyrics of love and unity.

This 15 track offering with only one new song “Life Is Great”, showcase the voice of German based artiste Patrice, with alternating lines from his young Marley sounding voice.

The awesome Nyabingi drumming on “Murderer” adds to its retributive vibe, the cool and relaxing guitar works of C Sharp’s band member, Lamont “Monty” Savory makes this album, one that you can pop into your player and listen to all the tracks.

The album contains most of BL’s signature classics with monster hits like “Be Strong,” “Prison oval Rock,” ‘She’s Mine”, “Black Roses,” “Here I Come,” and “Vice versa Love.” The only disappointing song is surprisingly one of his best song from 1985, “Vibe Is Right”, which was originally done acoustically with minimal instruments and only had a remixed treatment.

Co produced by Handel Tucker. Building, on his impressive RAS Reggae music production history of unique Reggae albums, AcousticaLEVY is released on Gary “Doctor Dread” Himelfarb’s DDP record label.
