Reggae Forever

Reggae Forever

But, an artist of Etana’s experience and stature knows that its never all sweetness and light. “Burned” the video for which depicts a spurned lover extracting revenge, shows her willingness to present herself in the context of more provocative, and even slightly risqué ideas, while “No Money, No Love” makes clear where the priorities lie, in the vein of the 80s Gwen Guthrie Classic “No Romance Without Finance

Throughout “Reggae Forever” listeners can feel the genuineness of the love for music that Etana professes, the gravity of the lyrical themes nicely balanced out by the accomplished musicianship of the likes of Dean Fraser, Michael Fletcher, Wade Johnson and LaMont “Monty” Savory among others and the vocal prowess of Khambrel McPherson, Chevaughn Clayton, Heather Cummings and more. “Reggae Forever” then is not so much a revolutionary statement as a signature.
