The Girl who kicked the Hornets Nest’ This is from the celebrated Swedish writer Stieg Larsson, who died before his books took on a whole life of their own. His most known work is probably ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,’ which was made into a Hollywood movie. However, ‘The Girl who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest’ takes thrill-writing to a whole other level as Steig gives his protagonist Solander some more depth as he fleshes out her character and makes her more likable; while further developing a plot around her family background, which accounts for why she is the
enigma that leaves you mystified.

‘Queen of the Damned II’ To say that I am a K. Sean Harris fan would be an understatement as anyone who offers sex and suspense all wrapped up together is more than fine by me and Harris gives you that and much more. With this follow-up novel, he further developed the story of the female don who ruled by any means necessary, took on the highest office in the land and came out victorious. A definite page-turner from start to finish!
