Sex, Lies and Dirty Laundry 2

Sex, Lies and Dirty Laundry 2

We all know the saying: if something look too good to be true, it usually is. This in large part sums up the moral behind ‘Sex, Lies and Dirty Laundry 2’, a novel penned by Denecia Green. Wild sex, crazy clients, deceiving spouses and people pretending to be fine upstanding citizens who sometimes have so many skeletons in their closets that they have to reinforce its doors, all makes for interesting reading in this titillating tale of lies, laughter and over active libidos.

The story picks up where the first novel left off. Shot in a jealous rage by her ex husband, Joslyn fights for both her life and that of her premature baby. Not only does Joslyn gets a second chance at life, but a second chance at love. However her past continues to haunt her, hence she must come to terms with her fears and frustrations before she has any shot of happiness in the future.

Did I say that it was full of wild sex? Well that it is. The title sums it all up in more ways than one as the protagonist’s appetite for carnal adventure is not easily sated and the irony of being a relationship coach is not lost on readers as she is all about demonstrating if needs be how to please one’s partner. ‘Fifty Shades of Gray’ has nothing on this novel as it comes complete with its own sex room with all the bells, whistles and bondage to keep you flipping page after page to see just if the envelope is pushed or ripped wide open.

It is interesting reading and is a definite page turner as Green’s characters and sub plots add body to the overall work. The few discrepancies surround where the book is based as at times readers are not sure as communities, towns or cities are not stated and at times the sequencing of events comes across as disjointed. This however is not enough to take away from the fact that the book is engaging and worth the read.Read more in our Vol 10 #4 Edition
