Recently K. Sean Harris stated that he does not know why he bothered making book markers as no one can truly put down his books until completion. While it may come across as cocky, it is 100% factual and his latest offering ‘Spank’ was a testament to this.

This book made me skip one complete night of studying for my finals as I had to, and I do mean had to finish this novel as from the first page onwards, I was hooked. No drug could have been as addictive as the words that melt off the pages into my psyche. To add fuel to this literary fire, one particular subplot he created had uncanny similarities to an experienced real-life event, making it both eerie and powerful all at the same time.

The storyline surrounds Zhana, a young teacher with an old soul who had her heart ripped out and stomped on by the man she thought she would marry; instead, he abandoned her and moved onto a new woman in a new country. Sex after that came with no strings attached until she discovered that if she was pulling the strings, she might be onto something exciting as well as empowering.

Eventually, Zhana meets King, a handsome and successful man that was her equal in every way and the dominatrix became a pussycat in his bed and silly putty in his hands as he manipulated her in the worse way ever, leaving her spiralling out of……….
