Portmore’s culinary and social scene has a fresh new address, as D’Ferrano Restaurant & Lounge officially opened its doors last Wednesday with an exclusive launch celebration that brought together corporate partners, food and beverage industry players, content creators and members of the Portmore community.
Located at Big Buy Plaza, D’Ferrano is positioning itself as more than a traditional restaurant. The new destination blends elevated dining with premium wines and spirits, live entertainment and social experiences, creating a multi-purpose space designed for everything from intimate dinners and business lunches to sporting events, cocktails and late-night celebrations.
Owned by co-managing partners Lambert Fearon and Justin Fearon, with Andre Miller serving as General Manager, D’Ferrano reflects the Fearon family’s ambition to introduce a fresh hospitality concept to one of Jamaica’s fastest-growing urban centres.
The venue features an elegant wine lounge, sports bar, entertainment space and open-air rooftop terrace, giving patrons multiple settings to enjoy the D’Ferrano experience.
Speaking at the opening, Justin Fearon said the vision was never simply to create another restaurant, but to build a destination where people could connect over quality food, premium beverages, entertainment and genuine hospitality.
“Portmore deserves experiences of this calibre,” Fearon said, highlighting the establishment’s desire to contribute to the city’s continued growth.
A major part of the D’Ferrano experience is its beverage programme, which places a strong emphasis on wines, premium spirits and handcrafted cocktails.
The carefully selected offerings have been designed to complement the culinary menu while allowing guests to explore a more elevated drinking experience.
For co-managing partner Lambert Fearon, however, the restaurant represents something bigger than business.
With experience across industries including real estate, wholesale and distribution, Fearon said hospitality appealed to him because of its focus on people and community.
His vision for D’Ferrano includes not only creating a standout dining and entertainment destination, but also generating employment, supporting local businesses and providing a space where families, friends and visitors can create memorable experiences.
That community-minded approach was evident throughout the launch, as guests sampled signature dishes, cocktails and premium wines while taking in the venue’s sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.
