It was sheer pomp and pageantry, glitz and glamour which characterised the inaugural staging of the Mr and Miss Jamaica Teachers Association 2020 contest which was held on Saturday, August 1, at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica.
The classy event, which is the brainchild of the Jamaica Teachers Association President, Owen Speid, sought to identify the contestant whose collective attributes best represent and embody the “Model Teacher/Educator”. Mr Wilton South, General Manager of the main sponsors, TIP Friendly Society, also a teacher-based organisation, was delighted to assist in such an impactful way.

After five weeks of intensive training by former International Model and Essence Cover girl, Althea Laing, an educator by profession; the stage was set for an evening of stunning formal wear and powerful performances.
