Palace amusement reported loses of $12.2 million for the year ended June 30, 2014 and on September 2, Mandeville’s theatre, the Odeon Complex was shut down over a reported hike in the cost of rent.
All four of it’s cinema’s experienced loses: Carib 5, Palace Cineplex, Palace Multiplex and the recently closed Odeon Cineplex. The loss in profits were reportedly due to a fall off in attendance and price increases.
