Toyota RAV4: The All-Rounder Redefined

Toyota RAV4: The All-Rounder Redefined

The conventional wisdom may hold that a vehicle as consistently popular across an array of demographics as the RAV4 may hardly need a review.

But this 2019/2020 edition of Toyota’s “all-rounder” arrives in the middle of a period of great change for the auto business, even in a relatively stable market like Jamaica. Appealing in equal measure to the young professional (as in late 30s to early 40s) and the “country gentleman” (60 or over) and categories in between, this RAV4 arrives with a completely redesigned exterior and some notable changes on the inside too. First up, the newer RAV4 feels more comfortable, a little more accommodating of taller drivers than the previous model. In addition to easy-to-locate controls, there’s a new dash-mount NAV and Driver infotainment monitor. Apple CarPlay comes standard on every RAV4, and there’s a wireless charging unit as well. The overall finish is similarly inviting, with smooth lines, and a sturdy feel to much of the compartments as well as the steering wheel.
