A Tie for All Seasons

A Tie for All Seasons

Most guys will see a tie and immediately get flashback images of their fathers wearing an oversized neck piece they would only wear on special occasions. So that was then. Fast forward to 2017 however, the tie you knew then got a complete make-over. Our slimmer, trendier and is a staple item for every guy—both stylish and non-stylish. So whether you’re getting tied up for the office, a night on the town or your best friend’s wedding, we here at Buzzz Lifestyle Magazine would like to give its take on five ties every guy needs in his wardrobe.

A Tie for All Seasons

Red Tie: Think of the red tie being for men what the LBD is for women. A red tie is quite versatile and goes with just about everything and can really pull an all-black outfit together. It’s transitional and can easily go through the seasons without you having to make a new purchase.

Bow Tie: Be the fun guy who wears the fun bow-tie. The bow-tie has made a major come back in recent times and is now being taken more seriously. A bow tie is truly versatile. You can wear it on formal occasions or a mix of casual and trendy as seen on local influenced Dutty Berry which is his signature piece. Selecting the right color and texture is key when selecting the perfect bow-tie.

The Statement Tie: This is not one set tie but a number of other ties that you should add to your wardrobe. This can be the paisley tie which is one of our favourites that features whimsical patterns and is usually seen on men like Chris Dehring of Ready TV, whose penchant for fashion defines his signature style. You can also add a polka dot tie and even character ties to showcase your fun and quirky side.

The Skinny Tie: Think of Maroon 5’s frontman Adam Levine who made this look legendary! This is the epitome of cool meets edgy. The width of this tie is narrower and somewhat longer than the traditional tie in measurement. Skinny ties look best with one or two button blazer as well as with shirts that do not have a broad collar as it can cause the tie to look weirdly unmatched.
