Digicel kicked things off in May with the official launch of the ‘Bring the Beat’ campaign, where kiddie journalists from across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean grilled track star and Digicel brand ambassador Usain Bolt with their surprisingly probing questions. The official Bring the Beat anthem by Machel Montano was also unveiled, and attendees got a first look at the associated video starring Usain Bolt and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce.

Grand Prize

Three lucky Digicel customers will also be bringing the beat to Brazil this summer following Digicel’s ‘Sprint to Brazil’ promotion. Nandi-Gail Stanton, Kenolee Hamilton and Sanalee Reid each won an all-expense-paid trip for two to Brazil, where they’ll spend ten days sightseeing, watching the races live, and experiencing Brazilian culture first-hand. Stanton won just by topping up her phone, while Reid got multiple entries into the promotion after receiving credit from abroad. Hamilton, on the other hand, won her trip via social media, after receiving the top score in Digicel’s Sprint to Brazil Social Media Trials game.

Bring the Beat with a brand new car!

Digicel customers will also be able to continue their winning ways in Digicel’s Bring the Beat summer promotion, which started on June 24. Two grand prizes, a Hyundai Tucson and Creta, will be up for grabs, while over 5,000 customers will win other prizes inclusive of call credit, DL1000 smartphone complete with a two-week data plan, and 15 weekly winners of $10,000 cash.

Summer ‘16 continues to heat up with the exciting CPL series at Sabina Park. With endless vibes inside the Appleton Estate and Digicel Party Stand, the Jamaica Tallawahs went on a winning streak much to the delight of thousands of fans who came out to support.

The Digicel Beat will also make its way to Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay from July 22-23. Hosted by Miss Kitty, the Digicel Stage goes live on Saturday, July 23, and will feature top up-and-coming acts from across Jamaica. In true Digicel fashion, patrons will also be able to enjoy giveaways of smartphones, credit and other great prizes.

The Beat goes to Rio…

As a major sponsor of the Jamaica Olympics Association, Digicel will be supporting the 63-member delegation of Jamaican athletes both here in Jamaica and in Rio at the 2016 Olympic Games. In Brazil, Digicel will be partnering with the Jamaica Tourist Board to host Jamaica House. From daily entertainment in the house to the Digicel phone booth, which will give Jamaicans the chance to stay in touch with family here at home, the Digicel team will be out in full force to support this mission.

In addition to that, Digicel wants to ensure that its customers don’t miss a beat this summer. So Digicel will be bringing the Beat of Brazil back home via its social media pages, through the MyDigicel app, Sportsmax, Digicel Play, CEEN and CVM TV — just to name a few.
