What is your aspiration in life?

Like Beyoncé in her song “Pretty Hurts”, many of us desire to live a happy life.

However, what makes us happy in life is essentially different for each individual.

Many equate happiness to the possession of material wealth and status, while others find happiness in life’s small blessings like the company of others. Whatever your personal perspective may be, your ultimate goal still remains the pursuit of happiness.

The question is however, how do you attain this happiness and how do you measure how happy you are with the life you live? For many, it is the opportunity to live each day doing the things they love with the people they love. For others it is the financial freedom to live comfortably and without worry. But whether you possess material wealth or find yourself in less fortunate circumstances, you still possess the potential to live a happy life.

Happiness comes from within. It is an inner peace that you exude when you have aligned your physical, mental and spiritual existence to positive influences and have realized the purpose of your presence on this earth. Realizing that purpose and having a happier existence is made that much easier when you live life with certain principles in mind.
• Removing Negativity is an essential part of being happy. Negative energy reduces your potential for happiness. Whether it comes in the form of people, an environment or space or even your own suppressed hatred or
insecurities, negativity will overwhelm and prevent you from receiving in abundance the happiness and blessings you are destined; let it go!

• Having the right attitude towards life is important. An Attitude of Gratitude and and positivity allows you greater confidence to realize your potential and find you purpose in life. Remaining grateful for the small blessings we receive every day and focusing on positivity will allow you to have power over your circumstances, instead of your circumstances having power over you.

• Finding your purpose provides you with the motivation that makes every day you live more meaningful than the last. No matter how small, having purpose ignites within you a passion and desire to see your purpose fulfilled.

• There is so much joy created when you give back to those less fortunate, not just for the recipient but also in your own heart. Continuous acts of volunteerism and services is important to spread joy within your life and in the lives of others.
