Your Body Our Canvas

How is it even possible for one to be naked yet fully clothed? That sounds like a paradox, but Ian and Robert Williams, more popularly known as Eon and Robby Free Spiritz, make it possible.

The two biological brothers form a team which takes creativity to another level with their product offerings, including but not limited to headdress designs, fantasy bubble, customised clothing art, painting of found objects and, of course, what they coin as body designs.

It’s hard to believe this successful venture “just kinda happened”, but Eon and Robby assured us that this destination was never planned for. It all took off during Christmas 2000 when Eon returned to Jamaica from studying overseas and was encouraged by his mom to paint kids’ faces at the Devon House Arts Fair. Little did he know the idea he then thought to be a ‘diss’ to an artist would evolve into what is now a career victory.

There is no need asking if they love what they do – it goes without saying; and with the experience under their belt, the future is certainly promising. From understudying the great body paint artist John Neyrot, to rolling out projects for the likes of Red Stripe, Sandals, ATL, Best Dressed, Caribbean Fashionweek, Appleton, Saint International, J Wray & Nephew, Caribbean Airlines, and our own family here at Buzzz Magazine, these gentlemen are a force to be reckoned with.

When asked if it ever gets awkward painting someone’s body, the two unequivocally said ‘no’. It is their new normal, so to speak; moreover, they are trusted professionals.
It comes as no surprise that Robin Silvera, a judge on the hit body painting TV show Skin Wars: Fresh Paint, gave his seal of approval on the duo’s work. Regarding the future, maybe one day they will be able to attend the World Body Painting Festival in Austria.

What’s in the near future for the two? The body artistry duo has partnered with Streets Entertainment for the upcoming UV J’OUVERT slated to take over Ochi Bay Beach on August 21, 2016. But if you’re ever hosting a party (kiddies or adults), considering getting a temporary tattoo, or even getting designed for a special occasion like Carnival, Eon and Robby have you covered. Depending on the design, a full body can be painted in approximately two hours with designs lasting for days. There is rarely any allergic reaction.
