The cardiovascular system is one of our most important organ systems in the body comprised of veins, arteries, blood vessels, the heart among others. The heart weighs less than a pound, but contracts and expands approximately 100,000 times daily. Individuals have no conscious control over the rhythm and rate of their heartbeat; an involuntary network of muscles, stimulated by electrical impulses in the body that allows the heart to beat at a certain pace.

Building and maintaining good cardio-vascular health, rests primarily on diet and exercise best practices, with fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grain products and healthy fats. Mono and polyunsaturated fats are useful, as they work to prevent plaque buildup in arteries.

Today, many people are eager to build sculpted bodies and increase fitness levels, to almost athletic proportions, but have gone about it the wrong way, leading to severe, sometimes fatal results in the end. To avoid this:
