Having sex in the morning is great because studies show that a man’s testosterone levels are at its highest between 5 and 7 am.

Did you know that sex is a great way to get your blood pumping and burn calories?

Sex as Cardio

Sex does get your heart pumping and your metabolic rate is increased. You burn calories based on intensity and duration. In 30 minutes, which include foreplay, you can burn up to 200 calories by using more bodyweight and various positions in a session.

Sex as Strength Training

You do have to use a lot of muscles during sex, but that also varies based on your favourite position and the intensity. If you enjoy being in position that allows you to use your body weight to support, you will automatically burn more calories.

It is perfectly fine to skip that one workout at the gym and enjoy an erotic session at home with your partner, whether you work out in the morning or in the evening. Be creative; while sex isn’t a replacement for that full-body resistance training, you will feel the burn in some areas more than others – muscles that is. However, you will get out of it what you put in, much like anything else. If for nothing else, your heart will thank you for it.

upper-body strength, while the gluteus and core muscles stabilise her as her male counterpart thrusts in and out. No doubt her core will also be continuously engaged, along with his arms, core and legs .
