Jamaican Father of Two pleads Homosexuality to avoid Deportation

Alvin Brissett has 18 convictions ranging from thefts, drug possession, and assaults was sentenced to be deported from the United Kingdom.

When on his way to the Gatwick airport he claimed he was a homosexual and would face discrimination if he returned to his native island of Jamaica. This plea from Brissett was able to halt his deportation. Though his deportation is warranted, it was ruled that his human right to a family life is more important.
