Optimum Jamaica has strengthened Jamaica’s public healthcare system by donating high-capacity printers to the Southeast Regional Health Authority (SERHA), providing essential technology to improve patient services and enhance the efficiency of healthcare delivery across the Corporate Area.
The donation addresses a critical shortage of printing equipment within SERHA’s facilities, where healthcare professionals rely on these resources daily to produce patient records, referral forms, clinical documentation, prescriptions, educational materials, and other essential documents required for quality patient care.
Serving more than half of Jamaica’s population, SERHA is the country’s largest regional health authority, making investments in its operational capacity vital to the continued delivery of healthcare services to thousands of Jamaicans each day.
“This donation comes at a time when it is most needed,” said Sharon Greenwood, Medical Social Worker at the Southeast Regional Health Authority. “We continue to experience tremendous demands on our services, and shortages of essential equipment, particularly printers, have impacted our daily operations. These resources will significantly improve our efficiency, allowing our healthcare teams to spend more time focusing on patient care.
