Van Gaal is no Miracle Man

Van Gaal may have finished the pre-season undefeated, but he received a cruel introduction to the Premier League, losing at home Swansea in their opening home game, the first opening day loss since 1972 for Manchester United. If that performance is anything to go by it looks like another season filled with ups and downs for the former champions ahead.

Magic Spray so good, you can even eat it

Magic Spray made it’s début to the Premier League on Saturday due to it’s overwhelming success of it from the recently concluded World Cup in Brazil. Referee John Moss was having a bit of trouble using the spray and accidentally sprayed himself and Arsenal’s Santi Cozorla in the face when applying the spray in the match against Crystal Palace.

Messi joins the BPL

Well not really, but the man they once called the new Messi, Bojan Krkic made his debut for Stoke after the completion of his move from Barcelona. Bojan broke records galore while at Barcelona: from the youngest person to score in La Liga as well as becoming the youngest Barcelona player to make his Champions League debut. Sadly, in his debut appearance for Stoke they were no records broken and he made no real impact in the game, but it’s still early in the season, so let’s see if he becomes the Messi of the BPL.

Watch out for flying bird poo

Look in the sky, it’s a bird, it’s a plane, no its flying bird poo in Ashley’s mouth? From the above vine it indeed looks like a bird had a potty in poor Ashley’s mouth. To make matters worse supporters commented on social media saying it was well deserved after his performance in the Swansea match, well let’s hope his performances improve so we don’t see more vines like this.

Mourinho Kicks off his mind games

Before a ball was kicked Mourinho got off to his usual mind games, aiming words at Arsenal’s and Manchester City’s Manager. When responding to the fact that he is under pressure this season to deliver a trophy, he said “Some, they have 10 years to win something, I have only two?” An obvious dig at Wenger ended who recently ended his 9 year drought without a trophy last season with the FA Cup.   He then aimed his words at Manchester City’s Pellegrini by saying,” I don’t like easy jobs. I don’t like to get clubs worked by other managers before me. I don’t like to arrive on time to collect the fruits off their trees.”

Rambo still a goal machine

Aaron Ramsey continued his impressive goal scoring record from the previous campaign, scoring the late game winner against a resolute Crystal Palace in the 90th minute. Wonder if he can beat his 16 goal season last season for the Arsenal?

Cesc is Back and still Fab

Fabregas may have been away from the Premier League for three seasons collecting silverware with Barcelona, but he has returned with Chelsea showing he is still a midfield maestro, by running the midfield and distributing two assists in their victory over promoted side, Burnley.
