Some of us keep absolutely nothing in our car trunks, while others have enough stuff packed to live inside their cars for weeks. No one can predict when and where their car is going to break down. It’s usually a very sudden malfunction, which can leave you miles away from help….and sometimes even out of cell phone range. That said, here’s a list of important items you should have in the trunk of your car at all times — with no exceptions! Crucial tips, which could quickly get you back on the road, and maybe even save your life!

Jumper Cables

Owning a working set of jumper cables and knowing how to use them is a must for drivers. This device is a pair of electrical cables, which are used to start a car when the battery is dead.  It works by connecting the battery to another car’s battery using its power supply.

First Aid Kits

A collection of supplies and equipment, which can be used to give first aid for minor wounds and for minimising damage until the emergency team arrive. This is mandated by law in some countries.

Spare Tyre

You should always have a spare however, if your car doesn’t come with one, a full can of tire sealant is vital!

Jack & Lug Tool

So you’ve got yourself a spare tire and it’s properly aired up. Great! However, it’s not going to do you much good if you don’t have a means of jacking the car up or removing the lug nuts. You should always have a spare tire and jack in your car.
