GREAT!! That’s how entertainer George Nooks describes his latest album “For You”. The album which is a labour of love for the artiste is his first lovers rock album in over five years and is described by him as his best effort thus far. He is even more impressed with his sound in recent times as his voice has matured and he has a greater appreciation for his craft and his ability to identify a hit record.
Nooks, who has in recent years released gospel albums, said that his fans would approach him and asked if he no longer sings certain types of songs, expressing their desire for more lover’s rock material.
“I wanted to create something that everyone would enjoy and that’s why I named the album, FOR YOU, because it’s for everyone”, he expressed.
He also shared that the album took him some time to compile as he wanted to compose songs that could individually stand on their own; that way fans would appreciate each song on the album as its own unique masterpiece, creating a desire for the listener to hear every track without wanting to skip through the songs. He further went on to say most albums these days are produced with few hit singles and populated with songs that only seek to create numbers. His desire is for every record on his album to be individually great; thus, making the overall album a collector’s item.
