On Thursday April 22, 2021, Huawei hosted a virtual tour of its new Galileo Exhibition Hall. The exhibition hall, named after the Father of Modern Science, Galileo Galilei, is housed at Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China and showcases Huawei’s new technologies and systems in robotics, computer intelligence and digital consumer experiences expected to revolutionize industries and everyday life.

Huawei is one of the world’s largest providers of information and communications technology (ICT) infrastructure and smart devices with a wide range of consumer and business products and services ranging from phones, laptops, tablets and routers to

wireless networks, optical transmission, data storage and intelligent computing. Their aim is to incorporate digital intelligence to every person, home and industry for a fully connected, intelligent world. Huawei has so far invested approximately USD $4 Billion in research and development to build an impressive suite of technology that create Smart Cities, Smart Factories, Smart Health, Smart Grid, Smart Education, Smart Agriculture, Urban Safety and New Smart Media. Through these technological networks, Huawei is providing the ultimate computing power and intelligence to build powerful digital platforms to increase efficiency and agility while redefining user experience in the areas of home, travel, office, entertainment, and fitness & health.

Media practitioners from Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica and key members of the Huawei team, joined the virtual tour and witnessed the many technologies and applications that led to 5G networking and the many applications 5G has managed to advance. The exhibition hall is divided into five parts represented by the planets closest to Earth. Mars showcases how extremely simple 5G can be; Saturn displays the growing devices and products with 5G technology; Jupiter portrays the leaders in 5G deployment; Venus shows how life can be improved with 5G and Mercury highlights the industries that can transformed by 5G networks.

During the virtual tour of The Galileo Exhibition Hall, demonstrations of various technologies were given to highlight the wide range of applications, functionalities and virtual conveniences that these new technologies have created. The 5G featured technologies among many others are built to guarantee 10 times faster speed, low latency and massive connection. The tour showcased advancements in robotics, broadband connectivity and revolutionary applications. From social, entertainment, business and industrial applications and technologies, The Galileo Exhibition Hall has on display, something for everyone.
